About us

our
pastors
Meet our three pastors who oversee our diverse church.

Senior pastor
Neil Stokes
Neil joined Tamworth Elim in September 2025 as senior minister and loves to see people flourish for Jesus. He is married to Sarah and has two daughters, Maddie and Grace, as well as a dog called Yogi. Neil started his journey in ministry with three years at bible college in Malvern (also his home town) in 2009, before starting as youth pastor at Ashbourne Elim from 2012-2015, before becoming associate pastor at Holy Trinity Elim Weston where he spent ten amazing years before God started the moving process.
He also likes good coffee, pizza, ninja turtles, football, cars, reading and films.
He is also part of the church leadership and MHTC trustees.

Kids pastor
Bev Marshall
Bev Marshall serves as Children’s Pastor and Chaplain at Tamworth Elim, a church she has been part of since childhood. Growing up in the fellowship ignited her lifelong passion to reach and nurture children in their faith. Bev loves discovering new crafts and spending time creating, often bringing her creativity into her ministry. She counts it a real privilege to serve on the eldership team at Tamworth Elim, driven by a deep desire to see the church flourish and continue reaching out to the community with love of God.

Youth pastor
Amy Rawlings
Amy has lived in Tamworth for her whole life and has been attending Tamworth Elim Church since 2009. Amy began an internship in 2011 and started working in our day nursery for 7 years before moving into the role of Youth Pastor in 2018. Amy has been married to Nathan since 2017 and they have a son called Spencer and a dog called Simba!
Amy is passionate about investing in young people as their relationship with God deepens. Giving opportunity to encounter God on a personal level, discover giftings and be valued, supported and loved.
Alongside Youth work Amy oversees social media for the church and nursery, is part of the worship, tech and tots teams and supports the Sunday morning Creche.
In her spare time she enjoys time with family and friends, board games! and a good film.

Nathan Rawlings

Jo Smith
Fiona is married to Alan and has a son called Edward. The family made Elim their spiritual home after sensing God at work from their first visit. Edward, then a toddler, was captivated by the worship songs and musical instruments and has been ever since! Fiona became an Elder in 2010 and has a pastoral calling to help and encourage others with their understanding of scripture, as well as practically. They host a weekly life group in their home.
Married to Tim, mum to Lucas and moved to the UK in 2006.
Teacher of History.
Enjoy walking and generally the outdoors, reading, gardening, spending time with family & friends, cooking & eating, the sea.
I love TEC as my church family with whom I journey through life. Trying to follow Jesus' example, living out of His love and grace. Joining the eldership is simply giving something back.
Nathan works as an insurance broker, supporting charities and organisations that serve their communities. He’s husband to Amy, dad to Spencer and dog dad to Simba, which means life is busy, loud, and rarely on schedule. He also serves as Chair of Trustees at Manna House, helping to guide and support the charity’s work. Outside of all that, he follows F1 far too closely, plays the drums, attempts to play bass, has a background in sound engineering, and tries to stay upright while rock climbing or competitive-ish at badminton.
Originally from Tamworth, I left at 18 to study at the Royal College of Music and remained in London working in orchestra chamber groups, recording and teaching. It was here that I was taken to my first alpha course at HTB, and at that point my life changed forever with my Christian walk firmly beginning. I have a wonderful husband and family- we have two daughters together and we consider Tamworth Elim as our spiritual home. I joined the Tamworth Elim almost 16 years ago, and joined the worship team a year after that. More recently, I have assisted in running a life group, orchestrating the dementia choir and attending our prayer meetings. The Lord, Worship and community are a passion, love, joy and way of life for me.
In my spare time I love reading, swimming and spending time with my family, friends and our border collie Rosie on walks. I was surprised and honoured to be asked to be part of the leadership team, and a trustee of the manna house- it is a privilege to serve him who is worthy of all of our praise.
